霜 停 白 遠　　山
葉 車 雲 上　　行
紅 坐 生 寒　　　
於 愛 處 山　　　
二 楓 有 石　　　
月 林 人 徑　　　
花 晩 家 傾　　　

山行

　遠く寒山に上れば　石徑(セキケイ)傾(ナナ)めなり
　白雲生ずる処　人家有り
　車を停めて坐(ソゾロ)に愛す　楓林の晩(クレ)
　霜葉は二月の花よりも　紅(クレナイ)なり

Mountain Climbing                  


Climbing a cold mountain,        
    stone path is slanting.      
There is a house in the place    
    where white cloud is rising. 
We stop the vehicle, sit and love
    maple woods at nightfall.    
Leaves of frost are redder       
    than flowers of March.
